Abstract (Rezumat în limba engleză): In this article I attempted to explain the lack of interest in studying kinship structures and to answer questions such as: what is the sociological importance of kinship structures? Can they help explain relevant features of the European societies? Or are parenting models and succession techniques able to exert an influence on long duration historical series of contents?
