The role of emotions in the research of prosocial behavior. Helping others is worthwhile!

Abstract: The article compares rational choice, evolution and empathy paradigm in relation with prosocial behaviour explanation. It brings into discussion personal aspects that interfere with the emergency of helping behaviour, especially the social value orientation. The role of emotions in predicting the output of human interactions is the discussions and also the commitment model suggested by R. Frank (1988).
