Abstract: Migration or the population’s territorial mobility is not reduced to a spatial issue, it is a much more complex process that encompasses a multitude of elements and generates a large spectrum of positive and negative effects over economic, political, social, cultural and religious life, careless of the mechanisms that set the above-mentioned elements into motion or that influence their development. The effects take shape in the native place, from where the potential migrants part, as well as in the place of destination. The analysis aims to highlight a few consequences of migration, which, directly or indirectly, influence the evolution and the functionality.

Abstract: This study synthesizes the main features of the health of the population in the villages of today’s Romania. Almost all the conclusions of the present study lean towards outlining an alarming weakening of the vital capacity for the rural human capital. The causes of the poor health state in Romanian villages lead towards at least three explicative areas: poverty, poor sanitary and general education for the rural population and the aging of Romanian villages, all these increased in the recent years. The aging trend originates in a double migration phenomenon: on the one hand the fact that young people still leaving the village and on the other hand the fact that adult and old people, who left the villages for the cities decades ago, return for reason of survival. Concerning the main causes of present morbidity in rural Romanian area, that may be defined such as .we are not equals neither in health and dead.
